I'm glad to see that people have noticed the JavaFX improvements. The team has an incredible amount of focus. We know what we want JavaFX to be and we also know what we *don't* want it to be, which has been incredibly liberating and lets us work quickly. I've never seen the Java client group as focused as we are today. I don't know the history of JSF (since I wasn't at Sun for part of it and never worked with it), but I suspect lack of focus was a part of it.
