Well yeah but then again, anyone following various project mailing-
lists over the last 2-3 years have seen dozens prominent resources
disappear from Sun and Java - personally I felt this all too well with
JSR-295 and 296. So no matter how you twist and turn it, people
leaving is not a healthy sign and by itself a vote of no confidence -
and that started way before Larry's big wallet came into the picture.

So zoomed out a little bit, this would not appear to be isolated to
uncertainty regarding Snoracle's stewardship. Given how the JCP is set
up, Nutter and his team stands to loose insight/power by moving out of
the inner circle - funny since AFAIK they still aim to make some of
the most drastic changes possible by adding new bytecode (unless of
course they are out to find an alternative way, as on the DLR).
