I didn't want to speculate.. but here goes.. well.. not really. :) My first thought was that while Snorical hasn't made statements one way or another, they didn't appear to try to have kept the guys either. But I don't know how much we can read into that. It's big company going through big change. Even if senior Sun and Oracle executives had big plans for JRuby, the transition period means their hands could have been tied. My point here is, its probably no use speculating, because the situation is probably more complicated than we appreciate.
