There were some good comments on the blog so my (light) baiting
worked.

I know the title was provocative, yes. But "almost" leaves room for
hope that Scala can be "better" than C# if some of the usabilty gaps
are filled in. And those gaps could be filled in, some of them easily.
Of course its *just*my*opionion*and*its*very*subjective. But it was
based on some personal experience. I wanted to point out how good
C# .net4 is now and where it outclassed Scala in a practical sense. I
actually like Scala alot and would like to continue to use it, its
foundations are far more solid than C# IMO *and* there are all the
multi-platform, open source, kick-butt JVM advantages. But to pretend
it kicks C# into touch at a language level, is wrong. Well almost. ;)
