Phones are consumer products, and consumer react mainly to marketing - no big suprise here. Take the Google Nexus One for example: Most reviews say it's a better phone than the Motorola Droid, yet it only sold an estimated 80,000 in its first month vs. 525,000 for the Droid (http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1590902/play-pre-sales-nexus- one). Even taking the holidays, the bad Google support and the 3G problems in the U.S. into account, it should have sold more. I guess the "new way of buying a phone" (Google's CEO Schmidt) isn't beating the old one, yet. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
