I find the DVCS's easier to get started with a new project - but some
people don't like the lack of absolute centralised control - if you
are after centralised control - SVN isn't too bad to setup (been a
while) but otherwise git - and there are various ways of simply
running git on a server as well to be the "central" repository (which
really doesn't mean much to git).
