Time for Casper to make another up another Star Wars story (or maybe a LOTR one?): The General Manager for Internet Explorer, Dean Hachamovitch, agrees with Jobs that HTML 5 is the future of the web, not Flash, and that H.264 is the best video codec - and the only one supported by IE 9. Money quote: "Flash does have some issues, particularly around reliability, security, and performance" Well, at least he conceded that Flash is "an important part of delivering a good consumer experience on today’s web". http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/30/microsoft-weighs-in-the-future-of-the-web-is-html5/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
