Many people thought JavaFX to be too little too late, the syntax is
nice but frankly I think Sun should've gone all-in with this one or
not do it at all.

The container model is outdated and proved to not really work very
well. Clearly Steve Jobs stab at Flash actually includes Java (reading
between the line and by inference). The difference is the Flash has
momentum and is an actual threat, where as JavaFX is vapor-ware. When
I call the container model outdated, it's with consideration to the
Mono guys looking at plugging Ecma-335 directly into the core of the
browser to supplement JavaScript [http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2010/
