There are so many who know such a small amount of existing stuff - just the big companies with their own software development department usually care a lot of what is used. In our cases usually customers don't know what is in there in their pieces of software they buy. The have a problem and that should be solved. If you tell them you do it in PHP maybe they know PHP. They also know Java and .NET because the Admins usually know that they need the appropriate runtimes to install on server and client PCs. But I bet, 90% never heard about Ruby, Groovy or Scala for example. -- Martin Wildam -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
