I mean that HTML 5, as I see it, it's just a way to standardize things (video/audio, better rendering, support for local storage and offline operations, canvas for free-style rendering, etc...) that are already avaliable today with various tricks and incompatibility. A good improvements for simplifying thing and better portability, but I don't see it fundamentally different than today's HTML + JavaScript.
