I often hear "But Apple stole the GUI from Xerox PARC!". I believe this isn't true - according to Wikipedia, "Xerox was allowed to buy pre-IPO stock from Apple in exchange for engineer visits and an understanding that Apple would create a GUI product" (http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PARC_(company)#Adoption_by_Apple). Xerox sued Apple nevertheless later on, but the suite was dismissed. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
