I have just had the meeting with the new head of employer engagement and there is definite interest in potentially forming a Java User Group for Yorkshire and the surrounding region.
I now need to create a formal proposal to that effect. As well as this we are trying to compile a list of local developer businesses. It would be useful to know if there are any local developers who would be interested in joining a JUG for this region if one was created. If a JUG is to work it would need a core nucleus of active people to get it / keep it going. Getting the word out might help.
