So, the obvious solution is for Google to stick it to 'em, ditch Java, adopt another of the JVM languages (Scala, etc) so the port will be easy. (Wink Wink) It will just be one more step for Java towards irrelevance in the mobile computing space.
Seriously, this makes me mad too. Bad move for the community, which Dick always says is the true strength of Java. This seems to me to be a little like when Linus was put in a position of having to pay to manage the source for Linux, so he surprised just about everyone and invented Git. The smart guys at Google may just decide to leave Oracle's party for good.
