http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sopao9Y7-GQ&feature=related This is what can be publicly demonstrated. Now you can figure out that while it would not violate any law to distribute it, a big, healthy corporate has many ways to inhibit a not-so-healthy corporate from doing something. And it's not only a Sun-Google game, since going beyond emulators involves phone manufacturers. As I have said, there are only rumors well known in the JavaFX community about that, but they are pretty strong and they are about Google _not wanting_ to see JavaFX-on-the-whole running on Android. BTW - looking at http://javafx.com/faq/ I read: 2.5 Can JavaFX applications run on an Android handset? JavaFX is capable of running on nearly any mobile operating system, assuming the necessary runtime files have been preloaded on the device. Device manufacturers that are interested in including JavaFX Mobile with their Android-based handsets are encouraged to contact Oracle for further details. I'm just curious on whether this "Device manufacturers... are encouraged" was already present before January or not. No luck with archive.org. If it's a new Oracle thing, maybe is it part of the deal? - -- Fabrizio Giudici - Java Architect, Project Manager Tidalwave s.a.s. - "We make Java work.
