That's annoying. But Marked is a proprietary part of the Google
applications (along with Maps, GMail etc.) and not part of AOSP. You
are free to install another marked application. Count yourself lucky
you can even use Google's marked, here in Scandinavia, it's still not
open for paid apps after 18+ months of being able to buy the phones!
As to the "uninstall dialog", I doubt it's very useful - I always just
use the bottom item as it's closest to my finger.

Are you expecting Google to have no proprietary/closed corners at all?
Even Sun did not have that AFAIK.
