Of course, stories about the iPad helping autistic children are great PR. However, both the Mac and the iPhone have had built-in screen readers for quite a while, making them the best computers / smartphones for blind users (see http://behindthecurtain.us/2010/06/12/my-first-week-with-the-iphone/).
