This is a perfect example of how you change the direction with a twist- you 
clearly understand this topic is about **developers** not **end users** and 
yet mention Twitter.

We all know that Scala is behind many of the moving parts of Twitter but 
thats hardly an example of how "popular" Scala is. Given the size of this 
blue planet there is always going to be some cool company using a esoteric 
or cool technology, that does not however make it mainstream or major news 
for *ALL* or a significant minority of developers.
