language, that companies are using it in production, and that it's growing
in popularity.  World domination comes later.

The world is littered with examples of superior technologies that failed to
get adoption. I'd like to think we live in a more enlightened age, where the
internet allows people to investigate and to make the right choices.
Perhaps we can then avoid repeating history, maybe this time round, the
betamaxes of the JVM can succeed against the VHSes.  I should hate for
nothing more than popularity to once again be the only deciding factor.
