Wow how do you type ASCII symbols? I just got on this thread so I've not ben 
paying attentio. that comes out right.

Ok, ASCII-code 247 is identified by JAWS 5.0 as the "divided by" symbol.  Is
that what it should be?

I used JFW 5.0 and 6.2 and they both say the same thing.

Let's see if it comes through the e-mail the same as in NotePad.  See
below...

I picked a bad example, say ASCII 247. You can't type that one.

You can have any application specific dictionary file and even any user and
application specific file at least in Jaws 7 I don't know about Jaws 5 the
one the student is using.
