I think I'd start by checking the properties of my start menu in the taskbar settings. I suspect something's messed up there that can be fixed in a keystroke or two that would solve the problem. If working in assistive technology has taught me anything at all, (and I suppose my critics would argue that it hasn't taught me much), <smile> I'd say it's taught me to start simple! I can't emphasize that enough. I've seen people jerk their sound cards out of a machine when the only problem was their speakers had come unplugged from the AC wall outlet.
I don't recall what operating system Patty's fridnd uses--Win 2k perhaps--but please start by right-clicking in the taskbar and looking at the properties. You probably want something like classic start menu or whatever. I don't have a machine running Win 2k here, so I can't be as specific as I'd like, Nolan Nolan Crabb Director of Assistive Technology The Ohio State University 2054 Drake Center, 1849 Cannon Dr., Columbus, OH 43210 Ph.
