I think I'd start by checking the properties of my start menu in the
taskbar settings.  I suspect something's messed up there that can be
fixed in a keystroke or two that would solve the problem.  If working in
assistive technology has taught me anything at all, (and I suppose my
critics would argue that it hasn't taught me much), <smile> I'd say it's
taught me to start simple!  I can't emphasize that enough.  I've seen
people jerk their sound cards out of a machine when the only problem was
their speakers had come unplugged from the AC wall outlet.

I don't recall what operating system Patty's fridnd uses--Win 2k
perhaps--but please start by right-clicking in the taskbar and looking
at the properties.  You probably want something like classic start menu
or whatever.  I don't have a machine running Win 2k here, so I can't be
as specific as I'd like,
