David, As far as i understand it, the choice whether to copy-protect documents or not rest with the document authors, not Adobe Systems. (Book publishers through their pressurising of Adobe, etc., are far more responsible for our accessibility problems than Adobe.) Not all Adobe files are in themselves inaccessible, and thankfully not all publishers of Adobe documents choose to lock them down. JAWS9 works very well with Adobe Reader version 8.
