Hi again. As I mentioned before, I've been using JAWS 7.0 for quite a long
time and loving it. But I've been forced to upgrade JAWS because I had no
choice but to go ahead and install Internet Explorer 7, (because some Web
pages were no longer accessible to me with Internet Explorer 6).

The reason I used JAWS 7 as long as I could was because I found JAWS 8 to be
sluggish in some areas. Now I've found JAWS 9 to be exactly the same.
Using the tab key on Web pages is significantly slower. Before, I would
hear the link I landed on spoken instantaneously. Now, there is enough of a
delay to drastically slow my on-line movements down.

Also, when doing an Insert numpad 8 in Outlook 2003, it's sluggish reading
the current line. as I'm scrolling down and looking through my email
folders. There are a few other glitches that I've noticed in both versions
8 and 9 that are not occurring in JAWS 7, and I'll be contacting FS customer
support about hopefully resolving these issues.

In the mean time, however, I thought I would ask if anyone else has noticed
sluggish behavior of any kind in these newer versions? And if so, have they
found a solution, such as perhaps disabling unused functions of JAWS? I'm
not even certain that is possible. I'm assuming that the problem
potentially could be that JAWS is using up more memory than before. I've
got a relatively new computer that is plenty fast along with 1 gig of
memory, so I know it's not my computer in that regard which is at the root
of the problem.

Thanks for any thoughts. BTW, this sluggish behavior occurs exactly the
same on two separate computers.
