Wow! So many folks have responded that Jaws 9 (as well as 8) has been fine,
if not better, than JAWS 7.

I don't get that. I'm not running anything that is a memory hog that I know
of on either computer. And my anti-virus program is Nod32, not anything
that is a known hog like Norton. Hmmm. Where I notice it the most is when
I tab to each link on a Web page. It's really awful. It has almost a full
second delay if not longer before JAWS speaks each time I hit the tab key.
In fact, overall, it's sluggish on-line. And with JAWS 7.0 I have no delay
whatsoever.

I'll be honest. I'm so tempted to downgrade to Internet Explorer 6 and go
back to JAWS 7 if I can't figure this out. I suppose that at this point all
I can do is contact FS and cross my fingers. Thank you all for letting me
know that JAWS 9 works fine for y'all and is not sluggish at all. It makes
me think that it may be something I hadn't considered, although I have
absolutely no idea what that could be at this point. I'm so frustrated.
But my thanks, regardless.

Version 9 moves right along on this system just fine. It is very responsive.
