Actually, you can set the shortcut keys to all applications to wherever you feel comparable with. Like for instance, at school, I launched Word by pressing Windows key + E then W. At work, I have to go to My Computer and press M till I land to Microsoft Word etc. But in my PC, Microsoft applications are set at the start menu, so I only press Windows key then press the first letter of the application like W for Word etc.
