Hi Scorpio & Wayne, If I'm not mistaken, diskdefragmenter, is set to run on a schedule, by default in Windows 7 The problem is that when I checked the defragmenting schedule it was set to run real late at night, or real early in the morning on a weekly basis, & if you didn't leave your computer running all the time it wouldn't be defragmented. Hi Wayne, I believe all defragmenters are just as good as the other. Fact is, all you're doing is moving information around, and, if anything, Windows will have a jump on other applications because of the index it uses for the Start menu function and the file search. Either way, I believe the Windows 7 defrag utility is enough for your drive.
