Please forgive the ignorance but how do you know if you have an ssd or an
hdd drive? And how do you know when it's running down. Thanks.  Judy & Libby

Just to add to the disk de frag question, solid state drives don't 
require this process either.

And IMO, it's a bit over rated for most conventional / spinning HDD's. 
Running defrag too often can have a detrimental effect on the drive, 
particularly if it's already nearing its 'end of live'.
