Hi, This is because by default Windows reduces volume an half of the full value when detects communication, such as via Skype. To fix this press INSERT+F11 to open the Select a System Tray Icon dialog and press ENTER on the speaker or headphones icon. In the context menu, choose Playback Devices. In the Sound Dialog, go to the Communications page and, in the group of radio buttons, select Do Nothing, then press ENTER to OK.
Hope it helps! -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Sadam Ahmed Sent: Sunday, November 26, 2017 2:13 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Skype audio ducking? Hi all, Whenever I make a Skype call from my laptop JAWS audio ducks. Have spoken with the Microsoft Disability Answer desk, level 3, and they can also reproduce this issue. Running JAWS 2018 latest build. Have tested with Narrator and this problem doesn't occur. Any notions as to what to do? Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.
