Hi Adrian,
I'm using Outlook 2010. Shift-tabbing back in an open message till I get to
the "From" line and then routing JAWS to PC does indeed let me check
spelling of names. But as I think as also been mentioned, you can do the
same by pressing control-r (which you would probably be doing anyway,
assuming you were going to reply to the message) and then arrowing down to
the "From" line. It's also just as quick, instead of arrowing down, just to
tell JAWS to find the word "behalf", without the quotes.
As usual, many ways of doing the same thing.
Rebecca

Hi Adrian;
well, I just entered on your message,
did a shift+tab until I got to the from line, now, route jaws to pc, and was
able to either ctrl+lef or right, or, able to read character by character.

Hi, David. Yes, this works the way you describe, but it doesn't solve the
problem that you can't arrow through a name to check spelling. That's a
problem when you have the long "From" lines that come with list messages.

FYI, you can get directly into the "From" field by holding down the alt key
and pressing 1 above the letters twice quickly.

hello;
in outlook;

1, enter on the message in which you wish to find out the sender's name to
spell,

2, shift+tab to the from line,
make sure the name/email is highlighted, now use the insert+numpad5 pressed
twice quickly.
works for me all the time.

In Outlook, JAWS won't read info in the "From" field letter by letter.
Instead, set up a reply to the message and arrow down to the "From" line.
Then you'll be able to go letter by letter. Just be sure not to hit "Reply"!

For sometime now I have not been able to use my JAWS cursor to check
spelling. Example, I'm trying to check the spelling of Eric Damery's last
name on the from field in a message. When I route JAWS cursor to pc cursor,
JAWS just says blank. What's up with that? I'm using Thunderbird and JAWS
2018.
