hi when we are in desk top layout we use insert num pad 5 to read
current word or insert num pad 8 for the current line of text to be
read. but for a laptop what shall be the commands for that when there
is no numpad and we will be finding caps lock button only.

I have used laptops and JAWS for over 10 years. In JAWS I set my laptop
keyboard to Desktop, and just use the embedded Numpad. Yes, this means
that
I have to add the laptop's Function key to the command key combinations,
but
I haven't found that to be a problem for me. Since I have to move
between
laptops and desktop computers, I find that working in desktop keyboard
mode
works best for me.

those
who are using laptop as i have.
