Hi Eric and list,

Firstly, let me say that I am quite pleased with this update because the
standard version of Gmail, which already worked quite well indeed with JAWS
10, now works a lot better, so thank you!

There are just a few issues I am still having with Gmail. I'll try to get
them into FS technical support tonight but thought I would post them here in
case others can reproduce them.

1. In a message list with two or more messages, JAWS doesn't seem to
navigate properly using the standard table reading commands. For example,
if you are on a message subject and press CTRL+ALT+DOWN ARROW, which would
normally move to the next row down, JAWS will say, "bottom of column", even
if, in fact, it's not the bottom of the column. It is therefore necessary
to use some other means of navigation to move between your messages.
2. Occasionally focus is not retained properly in the rich edit field, when
you are composing a message. For example, a say line could read some
additional text from the left-hand column of the page in addition to part of
the message you're composing. Generally, going out and back into forms mode
solves the problem.
3. I have noticed that while ARIA notifications are announced when using the
latest beta of Firefox, they do not seem to be announced in Internet
Explorer 8.

Apart from those issues, however, I am quite impressed with JAWS'
performance with Gmail. Keep up the great work!
