This won't affect other things Will it? For example, the line spacing, indentations for paragraphs, centered text, etc. I just need to know what to expect. If it takes everything away, then I'll need to reformat all the other font and paragraph settings too. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Lee" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, June 27, 2009 12:03 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Another word question
Hi Vicki, I don't remember your original post so I am not sure which version of Word you are using. If you are using Word 2003 then you can select all text by using CTRL+A. After selecting all text, use Alt+CTRL+N to change all text to the normal style. If you have NVDA on your computer then that keystroke might not work. If the keystroke doesn't work then after selecting all text use CTRL+shift+S to bring up the combo box containing the styles. You can use up or down arrow keys in the list of styles until you find the normal style choice and then press enter key. You can also use up arrow in the combo box to the top of the list of styles and use the clear all formatting to change all the text to the normal style. If you find that up and down arrow keys don't work right then use Alt+down arrow to force the combo box to open and use the up and down arrow keys to the normal style choice or the clear all formats choice. If you are using Word 2007 then press Alt key followed by H followed by E to clear all formatting after you have selected all text. You can also press Alt+CTRL+shift+S or use Alt followed by H followed by F followed by Y to open the styles pane. The first button in focus should be the clear all button so press enter key to perform the clear all function. You might need to use F6 to move to the styles pane to close it after clearing all formatting. After using F6 to move to the styles pane, use CTRL+spacebar and then use down arrow to the close choice and press enter key. Take care.
