Michael, It sounds like there might be a corrupt download of the file but I'm not certain.
If you would, it could be useful if you run the installer again with logging turned on so we can get a look at the log to determine what is happening. To do this, here are the steps: 1. Save the file you downloaded to an empty sub folder. 2. Now, from the Run Dialog, type in the path to that file along with the file name followed by a space and then: /log So, it might look like: c:\tempfolder\j11.0.340-32bit.exe /log Note that if this is 64 bit, the file name should be different. 3. After trying to install, the log of the install will be in the same folder. Submit that to our Test department. If you zip it and email it to me directly, I'll pass it to them. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." What does this mean? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling JAWS 10 and it installs normally. I am having some other system problems, however; I cannot check for updates, and IE 8 has problems installing. This after installing Vista SP 2. Might this be a related problem, or is this a JAWS problem?
