Hi Mike, Yes, this is true. Rick Justice ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Barbara" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, October 06, 2009 5:47 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] MSE Now Available
Hi Gerald, My understanding is that MSE is an antivirus program also. Wouldn't MSE conflict with my Avast antivirus program? Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks much. Take care. I have it set to run quick scans daily, and it is totally unobtrusive. A quick scan takes about 5 minutes on my system, and a full scan about an hour. It is totally JAWS accessible and has the simplest user interface of any anti-malware program I've used. You can essentially set it and forget it, because it updates itself automatically. I can't comment on its malware detection ability, other than what I have read in reviews, which has generally been very positive. You can use MSE in conjunction with Super Anti-Spyware, Malware Bytes and online anti-malware scanners like Bit Defender, F-Secure and Trend Micro Housecall. Good job by MS.
