Donald, after numerous attempts, I got the main menus back so I rebooted to 
see if they would stick.  They did---so far.  THe thing for people to listen 
for is the two announcements about jaws tracking pc cursor or not.  Maybe 
the jaws people could have an ok command but I'll look in the options again 
and see if there is one there so I can lock in my choice.  Thanks ever so 
much for all the help.  A man on another list used your directions to fix 
his menu problem that had him tearing out his hair for a week.  And he is 
very grateful.  marilyn
