Hi Norma,
I will tell you that when I upgraded from Jaws 6.2 to Jaws 9, I had many
crashes when using IE 7. I finally got tired of it and upgraded to Jaws 10.
Magically, all of the IE crashes stopped. So, my point is that it may not
be IE 8 that is the problem, but Jaws 9.
Just my two cents.

Thanks for the reminder about I.E. with no add-ons. Unfortunately I
encountered the same issues. I've written to FS as a last resort before I
roll back to I.E. 7. I have some concern about the security
vulnerabilities of I.E. 7, but I guess I need to balance those against
having a productive experience on the Internet.
