Ah, now it makes some sense to me. On my laptop, I have one of those built-in mice. All laptops are different, but on mine I press function key with the number 2 to turn off the mouse. I've also seen laptops that you turn off the mouse by pressing function key with #9. You could be wreckless like me and try different key combinations until you get it or check your user manual.
