also, depending on the specs of your netbook, recent versions of jaws might make it a bit sluggish. You could try if nvda from

www.nvda-project.org

makes it less sluggish. if it does, you might want to enquire into upgrading your machine's memory. If at all possible, you may want to have 2 gigs of ram over the for netbooks often standard 1 gig of ram.

My husband bought me a Toshiba netbook. There seems to be a lot of different
software loaded on this machine and Jaws 12 does not want to read some of
the dialogue boxes to me. He seems to run sluggish at times and times he
does not talk at all. Any suggestions. Someone mentioned scripts.
