When my computer is getting a bit slow, I do the following:

run disk defrag
clear temp and cache files
run spyware/malware removal tools
clear out unwanted cookies

This does the trick for me; individual results may vary.

I went to disk defragmenter and told it to analyze. It told me that I did not need to defrag the disk, so I didn't. I know my memory is more than sufficient, so I know that's not the problem either. It's just too much junk running and I don't know how to get rid of it.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] slow computer

Hi all. My computer is running extremely slowly. I know I have way too many processes running in the background, but every time I go into task manager and stop them, they just start up again when I reboot. I have no idea what to do, so whatever help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
