Flash is handled a lot better with JAWS 12. It still usually doesn't read the button labels, but it does at least let you know that they are there, and that shortcoming is more the responsibility of the site developer than FS.
As for installing Flash updates, I have read that folks have trouble doing that, but I haven't had that problem.
