Oh wow! Lucky. DOn't know why it crashes for me. I started using it because
I needed webvism, and then just liked it and kept using it until all the
freezing and stuff started happening.

Gee! I haven't found that to be the case. In fact, the reason I
started using Firefox in the first place was because I needed to go to a
page that would crash my computer when I tried to access it with IE 8,
and it worked just fine with Firefox.

Sad, I used to love firefox, until it started freezing and crashing on
every
single page. I update everytime it asks me too, but it just freezes all
the
time. Lasat year, it didn't do this:-)

Flash is handled a lot better with JAWS 12. It still usually doesn't
read the button labels, but it does at least let you know that they
are
there, and that shortcoming is more the responsibility of the site
developer than FS.
As for installing Flash updates, I have read that folks have trouble
doing that, but I haven't had that problem.

You can try firefox, it also asks to install things as needed to the
web
page.
have you tried updating flash, because they come out about every 3 or
4 months with updates.
Also you can turn it off for the pages you view with insert+ shift +
v. Just arrow to flash content and turn it off, or you can do it in
the configuration file for jaws. Insert +f2, choose configuration
center. Then just go to the default and tab to list, html, misc,
arrow down and set.

I am using Jaws 11 on an XP machine. So far I have stayed with

Adobe Flash has been a problem for me.
Some people, on another list, say, Flash is not a problem in Fire Fox.
Have any of you tried Fire Fox? Are there Jaws keyboard commands for
it?Has Flash troubled you by saying it needed to be installed, even
though you had installed it on a previous occasion? How different
have you found its commands to be from Internet Explorer 7? Were you
able to use Google? Were you able to transfer your favorites?
Many thanks in advance for any information! Vicky
