HI Alan, I don't know if this will work with the version of Word you are running but, you can try the following. These are shortcut keystrokes from Word 2002 & 2003.;
After you have finished the document. 1. Control A to select the entire document; 2. Control + 1, on the number row above the main keyboard,to make the document single spaced; 3. Control s to save the document. You can also try pressing, control +1, before you start typing the document. Hope this helps. Take care.
