I uninstalled v12 (32 bit) and reinstalled it twice. The first time I left "Leonard user settings" and then I checked remove "Leonard user settings" as part of the uninstall process. neither brought voice back to the start menu. I even did a system restore going back several hours prior to the problem and no go. Looking in my notes for jaws helpful hints I found some repare stepps for v12.

Jaws repair v12Below is the text I got for reparing Jaws v12.

Note: I did not see the file as shown in step 3.

Hi Lm Morris,

Tell me exactly what build of Jaws12, if it is 32 or 64 bit, that you are
running & I'll send you the steps on how to repair it. Take care.

Repare doesn't appear to be an option either in add or remove programs nor
is this an option on the Jaws dvd. BTW, that was good advice, because I
indeed have v11 on the system.

 Hi LM Morris,

If Jaws12 is the only version of Jaws you have on the computer you can
uninstall both but, if you have another version of Jaws on the computer do
not uninstall shared components! If you uninstall the shared components
with another version of Jaws on the computer the other version / bersions
will not work either. Have you tried doing a repair on your Jaws12? Take
 care.
 Mike

Well, if you want a totally clean install, install both. That way, you
 will
know if jaws is the problem. Jim
