Flor,
Thanks for the advice. Is the tools menu you reference in MS word or in Jaws? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Flor Lynch" <[email protected]>

You need to uncheck the overtype Mode checkbox. It used to be found in the Tools | Options | Edit tab control. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Washington" <[email protected]>

Ann,
When I press alt+control+i Jaws announces insert mode active. When I press those keys again it still says insert mode active and type over is not activated. Am I doing something wrong?
Greg

To toggle between typeover and insert modes, press alt-control-i.

Hello everyone,
I am using latest Jaws 12.0.1170 on a windows XP pro desktop computer. In word 2007 how do you turn on/off type over mode. Pressing the insert key does not seem to work.
