If your friend didn't format his html, let alone correctly, then you're
both 'headed' for trouble. beyond that, I'd rather pass it to someone
who has reviewed someone's proposed Web page and possibly has
amended/improved it, to comment further, than to say that I don't think
Microsoft word is the best reviewing option there is. Notepad - slow as
it is - may be better at the essentials.

have you invoked Insert+F6? That gives you a contents list - links,
etc.
I believe, in the main body of text beyond that, it should be
possible
(with Quick Keys on - Insert+z) to use the letter h to navigate the
headings.
