Hi Rich,

While in Word open quick settings with Insert +V.  Arrow down, way down, 
until you get to, New Lines & Paragraphs Indication, press the spacebar 
until Jaws reports, OFF!  Let us know how much this helps, if any!  Take

  Here is something strange to me.
  When I initially hit read line, i.e. insert up arrow, I hear "normal" and
  sometimes, 1 inch.
  The second time I hit the same command, on the same line, I do not get 
that
  response, but only the proper sentence.
