Hi Tom,

In case you didn't catch my prior post, I posted that I apologize to you for
asking You to please post your operating system & Jaws version. I found
your original post, after the fact, & saw that you had indeed told the list
what operating system & Jaws version you're running. Try going to the
Taskbar properties, tabbing to Notification Area customize button, press the spacebar to open, & tabbing through all these options & see if anything has
changed from the way you had them set before. If you make any changes tab
to the okay button press the spacebar, again tab to the okay button press
the spacebar to save your changes & close Taskbar properties.

The only way I can go from icon to icon with the arrow keys is being on the
Taskbar. If i tab from the start button then I get, Taskbar Internet
Explorer button, Notification Chevron button, show desktop button, then I'm
back on the desktop.
HTH
Take care.
Mike

Hi Tom,

Everyone has been answering your Taskbar question assuming you were
running

Windows7 but, it looks like you're running XP. To get the best answers to
questions please include what operating system & version of Jaws you're
running.

does not work. after window key + t, it says taskbar. when i do the
windows application key, insert + f10, and tab, there is no taskbar
properties, and when i use the alternate, alt + tab, it goes to jaws.
i've been over your directions numerous times, and it comes out this
way each time

Hello Tom,
Try to see the location of your taskbar. Obviously if it is set to
either
right or left the left and right arrow navigation will not work. Go to
taskbar properties and make the necessary changes.

1. Move to taskbar with Windows + T
2. Press the Windows Application key then down arrow to properties,
alternatively, you may tap Alt + tab to move directly to the Taskbar
properties.
3. Tab to Taskbar location on screen combo box and make sure that bottom
is
selected.
4. Now Tab to Apply then tab to OK to exit the properties.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] hidden taskbar icons

earlier today, I sent in a question on how to get the taskbar icons
back,
but obviously didn't phrase it correctly.
my problem is: when on the taskbar, say start, if you hit the right
arrow,
it says an icon, and if you hit the right arrow again, it says another
icon.
my laptop no longer does this, and need to find out how to "unhide" the
icons. I use win 7, jaws 12.1. can anyone help me?
