The problem then is a sound mting one. Onn my Toshiba Satellite laptop, the
FnKey+F10 combination mutes sound. Where the Fn Key has not been turned of,
that would be the F10 key.

Hi everyone. I'm using a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 and JAWS 15. Today, I
tried turning it on and waited for the Windows sound to come and for JAWS to
be announced, but neither happened. I tried doing a hard reset but still the
same thing happened. I don't remember doing anything on the laptop before
shutting it down last time that would have caused this to happen, but wonder
if anyone can suggest some things for me to try. I can't remember how many
times I have to tab, for example, to get to # start-up options or whether I
have to up- or down arrow to get to the right one.
