when you execute analyze when it is finished go tab to the process and if it displays zero defrag you don't need to defrag, if the number is anywhere above zero defrag. but yes after analyze is complete defraging must be executed. when defrag is done it's a good idea to check the process to make sure it defraged to zero.. if it did not defrag to zero it’s a really technical process to get it back to zero. don't ask how to do that cause sometimes I switch back to windows defrag and I play around with both.

So should I tell it to analyze then once it's done analyzing tell it to defrag?

Thanks,

Dacia

when you lauch the program either press alt for the program operations or
tab and you will come across analyze and defrag the last tab is the process
when you execute analyze or defrag you'll be moved to a stop button. tab I
think twice to get to the process and you can monitor. I usually tab to
pause and let the process run and every now and then tab to the process to
check how it is coming along. if you don't want to tab you can always buy
diskeeper I heard it defrags as your computing and prevents defrag of your
computer. google it I'm not sure of the url for it. it stopped with
version 12 .

Hi,

Where can I find defraggler? I don't have the patients to deal with
windows defrag.

yes its jaws/keyboard friendly. the buttons can be accessed with tabbing
or

if you press the alt key you can execute analyze, defrag drive or quick
defrag drive
windows defrag is accessible and works with jaws and the keyboard. you
just

need to tab a lot and when you execute defrag then find the process of
the
defrag you need to tab and shift tab to hear the whole process of the
defrag.

Hi,

Is Defragler accessible? The original disc defragmentor that is
built in to windows 7 doesn't appear to work for me.

thanks,

Dacia

what are all those numbers. I am familiar that the last number with the
percentage is the fragmented number and it usually should be zero if not
than you need to defrag. but what's all those other numbers or is it
not
important to know?

Windows disk defrag is good if you have Windows 7 or above.
Otherwise, I have used Defragler.
