If the person is just wanting to do Email at home, WLM is more than up to the job. However if the person already has MS Office, then he or she has a choice. I think that the user experience for WLM and the Email component of outlook is very similar once you get Outlook configured. In fact, in some respects it is easier. One example is that first letter navitgation does not work in WLM for navigating among folders or moving messages among folders, but it does in Outlook. Another advantage is that you can sync your Outlook Emails with Email on a smart phone or tablet. I believe that this also works for calendars and contact lists. One thing that is easier in WLM is to save the senders of Email messages into your contacts. Andy
