Yes, that's exactly what you have to do.

I guess you can just put the subscription on your credit card like the smart
phone bill? Thanks.

Caroline,
If you are looking into an Office Suite, you should look at the Office 365
subscription. The personal version costs only about $7 per month, but does
not include Outlook, but does have Word, Escell, and Powerpoint. The Home
version has all of the microsoft programs and runs around $10 per month. I
can't remember if the Personal version is only for 1 or 3 computers, but
the Home version can be installed on upto 5 computers, tablets, or smart
phones. As long as you have the subscription, updates are free.

That being the case, I'm so at home in Outlook Express with View, Tools,
etc, it sounds like maybe Outlook may be the way, although I know to be
prepared for pretty much a new world.

I think that there is not much difference between outlook and outlook
express if you stick to the basics. Get email, read email, delete email.

Question? Which is more like Outlook Express - Windows Live Mail or
Outlook
2010? When my husband had Vista, I could not navigate well with Jaws in
Windows Mail.

Hello List,
I have a friend with basic computer skills who is struggling a bit with
Outlook 2010, JFW 16.
I'm wondering if WLM might be easier for him to use as it appears to
have
a simpler user interface.
Thanks in advance for any opinions, experiences, one way or another.
Glen
